A Century of Lawmaking For a New Nation: U.S. Congressional Documents and Debates

This is an amazing site. The mission of the Library of Congress is to make its resources available and useful to Congress and the American people. The Library's website, "A Century of Lawmaking For a New Nation" fulfills that mission. The site includes scans of the Statutes of Large covering the laws of the 1789-1875; the debates of Congress and copies of the House and Senate journals for the same period; as well as copies of the records of the Continental Congress and Constitution Convention. The site is indespensible to scholars wanting to do archival research on American politics. The site is updated as the project makes progress.
