New Prize for Prof. Tariq Thachil's co-authored book

Tariq Thachil and his co-author Adam Auerbach’s book, Migrants and Machine Politics: How India's Urban Poor Seek Representation and Responsiveness (2024),  has won yet another prize. Namely, the Ananda Coomaraswamy Book Prize from the Association for Asian Studies: https://www.asianstudies.org/aas-2025-prizes/.

This prize is for (non-first) books on South Asia and is open to any discipline. Given that their previous two prizes were from methods sections of APSA, for Tariq and Adam it was especially gratifying to be recognized by a committee usually composed of humanists, e.g., historians and anthropologists.

Congratulations!
